Endurance
In what ares should i develop endurance? Deuteronomy 12:1 these are the laws and regulations you must obey as long as you live in the land the LORD, the God of your ancestors is giving you. In obedience. You must consistently obey God, not just obey him once in a while. Sometimes that will take endurance because obedience isn't always easy.
Psalm 119:147-148 I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words. I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise.
Psalm 17:5 My steps have stayed on your path; I have not wavered from following you. In seeking, believing, and faithfully following God. Endurance shows that your faith and your conversion are real, having a lasting impact on your life.
1 Corinthians 4:12 We have worked wearily with our own hands to earn our living. We bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. In dealing with difficult people. You must endure with kindness and patience as you deal with people who make life tough on you. This is the only way to win them over, by patiently pouring on them the love of Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:4 We proudly tell God's other churches about your endurance and faithfulness in all the persecutions and hardships you are suffering.
Acts 14:22 They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that they must enter into the Kingdom of God through many tribulations. In suffering through persecutions, hardships trials, and tribulations. Endurance through such times demonstrates that your faith is strong and real and can withstand any difficult test.
Galations 6:9 So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. In doing good. It is difficult to do good over a long period of time when life throws you so many trials and temptations. An enduring faith, how ever, is up to the challenge

Doubt
Is it a sin to doubt God? Psalm 94:19 When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. David and Thomas-along with many other saints-struggled with doubt. God doesn't mind doubt as long as you are seeking him in the midst of it. Doubt is sin if it leads you from God or if you allow it to turn to skepticism, then to cynicism, then to hardheartedness. But doubt can also become honest searching and lead you to reaffirm your faith with God.
What should I do when I find myself doubting? Habakkuk 1:2 How long, O LORD, must I call for help? Bring your doubts directly to God in prayer. Be candid and passionate as you pour out your heart to the Lord. Then even doubt can draw you closer to him.
Mark 9:24 The father instantly replied, "I do believe, but help me not to doubt!" Pray that God will give you the fullness of faith that you need.
Deuteronomy 7:18 Don't be afraid of them! Just remember what the LORD your God did to Pharoah and to all the land of Egypt.
Mark 8:17-19 Why are you so worried about having no food?... Don't you remember anything at all? What about the five thousand men I fed with five loaves of bread? When you are struggling with experiential doubt, take time to remember the way God has worked in the Bible and in your life. Then you will grow confident that he is real and will work in your present situation.
John 20:27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side." When you have intellectual doubts, check out the evidence.
Habakkuk 2:1 I will climb up into my watch-tower now and wait to see what the LORD will say to me and how he will answer my complaint. Be patient. Let God answer your questions on his schedule, not yours. Don't throw away your faith just because God doesn't resolve your doubt immediately.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Excourage eac other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
Hebrews 10:25 Let us neglect our meeting together. When you are wrestling with doubt, keep attending church and stay close to other Christians. Resis the temptation to isolate yourself, for that will only server to weaken your faith more. Doubt feeds on loneliness.
PROMISE FROM GOD Hebrews 13:5 For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never forsake you."

Depression
I Feel depressed and it seems like God doesn't care. Does he care about how low I feel? Psalm 139:12 Even in the darkness I cannot hide from you. There is no depth to which you can decend where God is not present with you. When depression comes, you must remember that even though you cannot see or feel his presence, he has not abandoned you.
Psalm 130:1 From the depths of despair, O LORD, I call for you help. You can cry out to God in prayer even during the darkest night of despair. He will hear you.
Isaiah 53:3 He was depised and rejected-a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. Remember that Christ understands the pain of human life.
Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Jesus cares deeply for the weary and provides acceptance, love, and rest.
Romans 8:39 Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Not even life's worst depression can separate you from the love of Christ.
How should I handle depression? Psalm 147:7 Come quickly, LORD, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don't turn away from me, or I will die. The Lord's strong presence in your life is the best cure for depression. But with the Lord's help, you may also seek the best medical help and ask God to use it to heal you.
How does God bring healing to those who are depressed? Psalm 10:17 LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will listen to their cries and comfort them.
Psalm 23:4 Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. The power of the Lord's presence, coupled with the sensitivity of his listening ear, can bring healing and comfort.
Can any good come out of depression? Psalm 126:5 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
2 Corinthians 12:9 My power works best in your weakness. When you are weak, you may be more receptive to the Lord's strength. When God works through your weakness, you know it is his work and not yours.
How can I help someone who is depressed? 2 Corinthians 1:4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Romans 12:15 When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow.
Proverbs 25:20 Singing cheerful songs to a person whose heart is heavy is as bad as stealing someone's jacket in cold weather or rubbing salt in a wound. Two things help most: modeling the gentle, carin love of Christ and directing the depressed person to the proper care. Those dealing with depression need comfort and understandnig, not advice and lectures. You can help someone who is depressed by your quiet presence, your love, and your encouragement. Telling them to "snap our of it" only makes things worse.
Are feelings of depression sin? Isaiah24:16 Listen to them as they sing to the LORD from the end of the earth. Hear them singing praises to the Righteous One! But my heart is heavy with grief. I am discouraged, for evil still prevails, and treachery is everywhere. The glames of moral outrage at the presence of terrible sin can leave the ashes of depression. This is not a sin.
John 11:33 When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, he was moved with indignation and was deeply troubled.
John 12:27 Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, "Father, save me from what lies ahead"? But that is the very reason why I came! In the very process of redemption Jesus felt deeply troubled, or quite "love." It is natural to feel low in the backwash of torubled times. Since Jesus cannot sin, to feel low or depressed cannot be a sin. It can be a result of sin or become a sin if you blame God, use it againts God, or leave God out of the antidote.
Does feeling depressed mean something is wrnog with my faith? Judges 15:18 Now Samson was very thristy, and he cried out to the LORD, "You have accomplished this great victory.... Must I now die of thrist?" Even for the peopole of God, depression can often follow great achievement or spiritual victory.
Psalm 35:9 I will be glad because he rescues me.
Psalm 40:2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair.
Matthew 14:30-31 When he looked around at the high wavesm he was terrified and began to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted. Instantly Jesus reached out his hand and grabbed him. God is able to lift you out of the pit of depression and fear.
PROMISE FROM GOD Matthew 11:28 Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

arhhZ~ Today was suppose to go bek to my Primary school... wif my SO CALLED TRUE FRIEND!!!! he ditched me lolz~ oh well~ ended up din go larh~ stayed at home dreaming again~ thinking about Her.. =)
And.. I've read the book again and here is another chapter=) enjoy
Disappointment How should I handle my disappointment with God? Exodus 5:22 So Moses went back to the LORD and protested. Go to God in prayer to try to understand his ways.
John 11:21 Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." Behonest with God about your thoughts and feelings. He knows them anyway, so why try to hide them?
2Corinthians 12:8-10 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, "My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me.... For when I am weak, then I am strong. Remember that although youmay not understand why God doesn't always take away your pain, your weaknesses are great opportunities for God to work his power through you.
How should I deal with life's disappointments? Psalm 63:1 O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you. In your disappointment, move toward God, not away from him. Running from the one who can help you is not wise.
Luke 5:4-5 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets, and you will catch many fish." "Master," Simon replied, "we worked hard all last night and didn't catch a thing. But if you say so, we'll try again." Listen to the Lord and trust him, even when it seems unreasonable.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Accept God's ability to still bring good.
Is there a way to avoid or minimize disappointment? Haggai 1:6-9 You have planted much but harvested little.... Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the LORD Almighty, while you are all busy building your own fine houses. Put God first. Give him the first part of your money, the best minutes of your day, the highest priority in your life. By doing thism you will learn to see what is truly important, and you will discover that there is nothing more rewarding and satisfying than the relationship with the God who created you and loves you.
1 Peter 2:6 As the Scriptures express it, "I am placing a stone in Jerusalem, a chosen cornerstone, and anyone who believes in him will never be disappointed." Pur your faith, trust, and expectations in the Lord. Because he created you, you can only learn from him what he has planned for you..
Galatians 6:9 So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Maintain the joy of doing God's good work.
Galatians 6:4 Be sure to do waht you should, for then you will enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done your work well, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. Minimize disappointment by doing what you should-and doing it well.
PROMISE FROM GOD Psalm 55:22 Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you.
You're my angel of music. ♥
| Day 2.. Lolz~ |
| Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Tuesday, November 13, 2007 |
Well, again.. i know today nothing much is going to happen.. becoz im not going out wif anyone or doing anything special today.. Oh well.. Back to reading book~
Heres something i read today.. enjoy~
Courage Where do I get the courage to go on when life seems too hard or obstacles seem too big? Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and myu salvation-so why should I be afraid?
Isaiah 41:10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. True courage comes from knowing God and understanding that he is stronger than your mightiest foes and he wants to help you. Courage is not misplaced confidence in your weakness, but well-placed confidence in God's strength.
How do I find the courage to face death? Luke 12:4 Dear friends, don't be afraid of those who want to klil you. They can only kill the body; they cannot do any more to you. When God is with you, you don't have to be afraid of anything, even death.
1 Corinthians 15:54 Death is swallowed up in victory. By his resurrection, Jesus has won the victory over death. Victory over death comes not from a futile attempt to conquer death, but from surrender to Jesus, who promises resurrection and eternal life.
How do I find the courage to face change? Genesis 46:3 Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will see to it that you become a great nation there. Change may be part of God's plan for you. If so, what you are headed into will give you joy and satifaction beyond your expectations. Remember, the greatest advances in life come through change.
Exodus 4:13 But Moses again pleaded, "Lord, please! Sen someone else." To experience fear is normal. To be paralyzed by fear, however, can be an indication that you doubt God's ability to care for you in the face of change.
2 Samuel 4:1 When Ishbosheth heard about Abner's death at Hebron, he lost all courage, and his people were paralyzed with fear. If you take all of your courage from another person, you will eventually be left with nothing when that person is gone. If you trust in God, you will have the strength to go on even when circumstances collapse around you.
PROMISE FROM GOD Job 11:18 You will have courage because you will have hope.
^^V peace~ =P

Confusion The world is a pretty confusing place right now. How should I deal wif life's confusion?
Joshua 7:6-8 Joshua and the leaders of Israel tore their clothing in dismay, threw dust on their heads, and bowed down facing the Ark of the Lord until evening. Then Joshua cried out, "Sovereign LORD, why did you bring us across the Jordan River if you are going to let the Amorites kill us? If ony we had been content to stay on the other side! Lord, what am I to say, now that Israel has fled from its enemies?"
Psalm 94:19 When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer As you focus your time and thoughts on God, it becomes clear what he wants you to do. The confusion doesn't seem so great because he is the God of order and peace. Life is less confusing when you realize he truly is in control. How wonderful to know that when you are confused, God has an answer. Just Ask.
Psalm 75:3 When the quakes and its people live in turmoil, I am the one who keeps its foundations firm As a believer, you can trust God and recognize his soverignty. With the help of sovereign God, confusion seems manageable. You know that one day God wlil take away all the confusions and bring his kingdom of peace.
Proverbs 20:24 How can we understand the road we travel? It is the LORD who directs our steps Seeing life through your limited vision brings confusion and frustration. Ask God for understanding. His wisdom will help you sort out the confusion.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. Look to Scripture for instruction and understanding. God will give you wisdom to deal with any situation. Through the Word of God you discover the mind of God.
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not be presenting his own ideas; he will be telling you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. Be sensative to the Holy Spirit. He gives the power to deal with confusion. Since you don't know the mysteries of life, you need the one who understands and knows all things to guide you.
2 Corinthians 4:8 We are pressed on everyside by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed( usually passive), but we don't give up and quit, you continue to grow toward spiritual maturity. As you mature in Christ, you can learn to better handle the confusing things of life.
How can I avoid feeling constantly confused? 1 Kings 18:21 Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, "How long are you going to waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!" But the people were completely silent. Be a devoted follower of God-constantly and deliverately deciding to trust him and follow his Word, which gives you focus and purpose.
How should i respoind when God confuses me-when I don't understand him? Hebrews 10:23 Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Trust God and trust that what he says in his Word is true. If that is your compass for direction in life, you will always know what to do and which way to go. It is when you doubt God that life gets confusing.
Acts 10:19 Meanwhile, as Peter was puzzling over the vision, the Holy Spirit said to him, "Three men have come looking for you." Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 1:10 This salvation was something the prophets wanted to know more about. They prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you, even though they had many questions as to what it all could mean. Respond in obedience regardless of your level of understanding. You need not know everything baout plumbing to take a bath. you need not know everything about God to follow Him.
Habakkuk 2:1 I will climb up into my watch-tower now and wait to see what the LORD will say to me and how he will answer my complaint. Wait for God to answer. Realize that the timing and level of the answer is up to his discretion. Rest in the knowledge that the Lord is God and he is acting in your best interest. The timing of answered prayer is as significant as the answer itself.
PROMISE FROM GOD 1 Corinthians 14:33 God is not a God of disorder but of Peace.
Well, there you go~ this book i read is quite interesting.. want to know wad is it?? haha.. talk to you at the Cbox there.. =P
You're my angel of music. ♥
