And.. I've read the book again and here is another chapter=) enjoy
Disappointment How should I handle my disappointment with God? Exodus 5:22 So Moses went back to the LORD and protested. Go to God in prayer to try to understand his ways.
John 11:21 Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." Behonest with God about your thoughts and feelings. He knows them anyway, so why try to hide them?
2Corinthians 12:8-10 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, "My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me.... For when I am weak, then I am strong. Remember that although youmay not understand why God doesn't always take away your pain, your weaknesses are great opportunities for God to work his power through you.
How should I deal with life's disappointments? Psalm 63:1 O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you. In your disappointment, move toward God, not away from him. Running from the one who can help you is not wise.
Luke 5:4-5 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets, and you will catch many fish." "Master," Simon replied, "we worked hard all last night and didn't catch a thing. But if you say so, we'll try again." Listen to the Lord and trust him, even when it seems unreasonable.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Accept God's ability to still bring good.
Is there a way to avoid or minimize disappointment? Haggai 1:6-9 You have planted much but harvested little.... Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the LORD Almighty, while you are all busy building your own fine houses. Put God first. Give him the first part of your money, the best minutes of your day, the highest priority in your life. By doing thism you will learn to see what is truly important, and you will discover that there is nothing more rewarding and satisfying than the relationship with the God who created you and loves you.
1 Peter 2:6 As the Scriptures express it, "I am placing a stone in Jerusalem, a chosen cornerstone, and anyone who believes in him will never be disappointed." Pur your faith, trust, and expectations in the Lord. Because he created you, you can only learn from him what he has planned for you..
Galatians 6:9 So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Maintain the joy of doing God's good work.
Galatians 6:4 Be sure to do waht you should, for then you will enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done your work well, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. Minimize disappointment by doing what you should-and doing it well.
PROMISE FROM GOD Psalm 55:22 Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you.
You're my angel of music. ♥
